Holiday Fun! Etsy shoppe updated!!

Here are my new designs!

It's been awhile since I posted a photo of the resident fashionista, here is her new haircut ala Twiggy.

My newest fuzzibax pins, now in my etsy shop!)

This one I think will be called "the lady gambles on horses and is in the money" but I have to figure out how to cover up that pesky hole in the center of the old reflector.
More fun vintage trims and doodads.
I was inspired by Beth Holcombe of Beth's Bagz to make some corsages. I have been making pins for awhile, but I decided to take her challenge to make some, and post them December 7th, next Sunday. Until then, here is what my workspace looks like. So much fun. I am making all kinds of fun sweet little things for the holidays and perfect for gift giving.
Go here to learn about corsages and enter her Corsage Contest on the 7th.

Collaboration Fairy Tale with Vivianne Galli

Hi friends, it's here on eBay, our long awaited one of a kind special set. Take a look here!

It is really adorable if I do say so myself! Vivianne did the auction template and custom logos, she is a very talented designer! It is a pleasure and honor to work with her.

I have been subbing at school a lot, and Leah has had the awful virus that is going through the schools. Friday a kid threw up on her books, she was in the bathroom cleaning her books and missed the bus on Friday. I was able to pick her up on my way home from school.
Sunday night the drama began, and my tour of duty involving Clorox and rubber gloves! Suffice to say her mattress did not survive the event. Oh it was horrible but she is better today and school didn't bother to call me in today, I spilled the horrible details yesterday am when they called, no doubt to sub for someone else out sick!

It was nice to see our collaboration and a great detour away from the sick bay duty!
I made a hug pot of roasted veggie stew and that went fast! Now what's for dinner tonight? I think frozen pizza!!

Enjoy, Pam

A new Era at the farm

Leah, Sparky and me at Starved Rock this past Labor Day.

Hi folks, the chickens have gone to a new home. Sparky would not leave them alone. So last night they went, and it is a lovely place with a large coop, and a boy to tend them and he shows his birds in 4-H. I have been busy subbing for Spanish and hopefully soon French at school, and Leah has won a solo in the annual Millikin University Vespers concert. So we are pretty busy here! I will be making some new things in time for Christmas, and in the mean time I am offering 20% off anything on my website or PFATT Marketplace, with FREE SHIPPING, until November 30th!!

Look what came today!

Little owl surveys the tidy little packages. The handwriting, to one artist from another!A little papier mache box, do you recognize the artist? The little girl looks like me as a child, I wore glasses and had dark brown tresses. But I wasn't angelic. That came later. (ha!)
Isn't this little card below lovely? It's an original , her features drawn painstakingly by hand, and her dress a swatch of gaily colored fabric, stitched with a sewing machine.

And here at the bottom, the concept I asked for, and got! But a surprise it was as well. A palomino pony and girl. Danita, how did you know my first horse as a girl was that color?

What a darling painting, an original! I am so glad I didn't ask for a peek. I got a surprise!

Go see Danita's things here: http://danitaart.blogspot.com/
You'll be glad you did!

They are not spoilt by me

Red and Sparky lounge on the sofa.
The corn has been husked.

Bindi manages to fit in the chair. Funny to see her lanky frame all curled into a furry knot. The winds have brought us cold weather, and Indian Summer has bid farewell until next year. The wood stove is chugging along, windows covered in plastic again, and the drafty farmhouse on the prairie is hunkered down for another harsh winter. I hope it isn't too bad!

A little work.....

Ok first, he had no eyelids, and she had no wings. I need to change this!

Ok I think they look better. But now the chubby one needs feet. I'll get back to you on that!

Thank You California!

For caring about farm animals, thank you! Prop. 2 passed, enacting stricter codes of kindness for farm animals. If people had any idea where their food came from, and how animals are treated, I think fewer people would stand for cruelty! Suffering at slaughterhouses is horrendous. California has vowed to take a stand. It's one small step. I hope it catches on everywhere.

A vegetarian pizza made by me using the Moosewood Low Fat Cookbook. Yum!

You can find Moosewood Cooperative cookbooks at any bookstore, new or used.
