I did something for myself today. I did the barn chores early, and decided to clean up the aisle, then the arena. It was easier than I thought, and the cool air after the rain made me want to open the large sliding doors, and then, RIDE!! Yes I haven't ridden in weeks, maybe months. Why not?? I had a bad summer last year. I took in a friend to board with me. Well, it ruined the friendship. Her horses were young, unruly, and destructive, and her inability to control them and her lack of respect for my property and ME made me avoid my one special escape, My BARN!! Well. today, I switched the radio from country to classical. And then I rode both of my horses. I have been running several miles a day now for about a month.
It felt so good to be this active again,that when we went to Walmart, I did something I havent done in over 20 yrs. Maybe 25 years. I BOUGHT A BIKINI!!! No guarantee that I will wear it in public, but at 46 yrs of age, this might be the old girls last hurrah. Embrace that baby belly I told myself.
